When we got to the job, the client had the materials ready and an area ready to build the BBQ.
Before we started the work, we had a discussion with the client to work out what he wanted, what effect he wanted to create, and the kind of finish he was after.
The next step was actually creating the BBQ. We built it with a hot plate in the middle and on both sides there was brickwork built up to take a slab either side. In the middle where the fire would heat the food, we laid heat proof bricks to keep the heat in the oven area. At the top, we laid a metal chimney so the smoke would go through the roof of the Pergola and we made sure the brickwork was built in the shape of a pyramid for airflow. We were really happy with the way this project turned out and the client was too!
