Getting Your Garden Spring and Summer Ready

It’s not just your tan that you can get ready for the warmer weather… It’s time to think of your garden too!

I think many of us can agree that having a nice garden space was an absolute lifesaver in the first national lockdown last Summer. Whether your garden became the perfect place to enjoy your coffee al fresco or your gym replacement, having an outdoor space that is calming and usable is one of the best things you can invest in this season.

With that in mind, it’s easy for your garden to have become a tad overgrown over Winter and look a little unloved. This is why I want to give you a few ideas for things you can do to your garden or outdoor space that will make it instantly more usable and inviting (and even a touch Instagramable!)

Fixing any damaged garden walls

The last thing you want to look out at when you’re in your garden is damaged walls or bad brickwork. It’s the kind of thing that just makes your outdoor space look untidy and will bother you until it’s fixed. This is your sign, from a professional bricklayer, to make a plan to get that damaged garden wall fixed before Spring has sprung!

Plant a variety of flowers

More is more when it comes to flowers and plants! Think about the way that a garden full of colourful flowers makes you feel – great, right? If you’re looking to make your garden as beautiful as possible this year, consider branching out and planting a variety of different flowers and plants; from roses to lavender. They will make a huge difference to your space and the bees will be thanking you too!

Building or upgrading your shed

The last thing you want to see is garden tools, bikes or lawnmowers cluttering up your garden as you sip on your evening glass of wine after a long day. Spring is a great time to invest in a garden shed to help to keep all your things safe and out of the way. I’ve built a few sheds in my time, which you can check out over in my portfolio.

Build a BBQ

There’s nothing better than a cold beer and the sound of meat sizzling away on the BBQ… If you’re tired of disposable ones that barely cook your food and don’t last long at all, it might be time to invest in a BBQ that will last for years to come. I’ve built a fair few BBQ areas which protect them whilst keeping your food safe and hot. If you want to see examples of the ones that I’ve built, check out my portfolio.

Furniture refresh

The right furniture in your outdoor space can make all the difference whilst making sure that everyone has a place to sit. If you want to eat your dinner in the lighter evenings or maybe even take your work outside when it’s warm, having sturdy and stylish garden furniture is the answer.

There you have it…

Here are five ways that you can make your garden a wonderful place to be this Spring and Summer. I hope these tips help you and if you’ve got a project in mind and think I’d be the right man for the job, just get in touch with me today for your FREE quote.
